Our Beeswax Candles
We use the finest beeswax from the Pacific Northwest and natural fiber wick. The beeswax is capping wax from one beekeeper and the color is a warm shade of amber. The color varies slightly due to the pollen, which is collected with the nectar from different types of flowers. The tapers are hand dipped and the pillars are hand poured using all cotton or cotton/paper wick.
The Wick We Use
We use three types of cotton or cotton/paper wick: flat braid, square braid and paper core wick. Each candle requires a particular size and type of wick and a certain air, beeswax and mold temperature. Because of the toxicity of metals when burned, we do not use any wick with metal core, which could be lead or zinc.
Hand Flowered Pillars
Our solid, long burning, hand poured pillars come in many shapes and sizes. They can be ordered plain or with pressed flowers decorating their sides. These flowers keep their shape and color and are grown on our farm; violas with cheerful faces, red coral bells, larkspur blossoms and green lemon thyme branches.
